During Pastor Appreciation Month in October, we recommend that every local church make special plans to honor and celebrate their pastors and families. Pastors face many challenges as they lead, help, and shepherd their congregations. Many of our district pastors are bi-vocational, often overworked, and in need of respite. Some are discouraged and need affirmation—that’s where the church comes in as they bless their pastoral families.
